I thought as a new player you had to pay to revive quickly so I used a good 60 elluns on reviving
my suggestion is make the top button say;

Revive Now
(Dire Wound Imminent)

between the top and bottom button place the clock

bottom button should say

Revive On-Site
(Avoid Dire Wound)

with the ellun cost

I know I'm not the only one who did not receive a rondo out of the past Commander Boxes, and this led me to think : Why can't we just have an NPC that would trade say .. 2-3 pets we got out of the box, for a pet of our choice?

For example: I have received 6x dullahan pet, and 1x ashuram (and others that have since been tossed for lack of inventory room). Why not be able to use those useless pets, to trade up for something of actual need for my character?

So this is where the NPC Pet Swap comes into play. Just come, trade your unneeded pets for one that you DO need. Now that, is a successful event. Still RNG to GET pets, but at least you can get something USEFUL out of it :).

Changed the title to include PET to encompass the fact that pet lucky boxes exist from both Ellun boxes, and also events such as the commander lucky boxes.

[Animations] Water splashing, emotes while mounted

I'd love to see water splashing when I ride into shallow water, or ripples of water forming when flying very close to the water surface. I see this in most of games these days, and I'm sure they will get here eventually too. After all, it's still the beta.

I wonder however if we could get our emotes to work while we're mounted, too. Some would obviously need to be different (like the woo one), but I'm sure the developers can come up with something!

Hello again!

Has anyone tried out walking with their mount? I have, I love walking animations in general in all games. But I've noticed something a little off: the energy the Familiar spends when walking is the same they would when they run, which doesn't make much sense. I'd suggest to make it so that, when walking, no energy is spent (nor recovered). It'd be immersive to see players walking around as they wait for their Familiar's next level up before they can dash again (rather than stopping still in the middle of the road). It'd incentivate to use the walking feature.

Another energy-related feature I'd love to see would be a /sit pose for mounts too, where they lay down to the ground. I feel that with this pose their energy should regen up faster. To make Energy Potions still relevant, this pose could work like bandages, and be interrupted by movement or being attacked. It'd be cool to see people resting their familiars in small safe places in the wilderness (under a tree, away from the blizzards, ahhh!) or in town.

Jumping and idle animations for aerials

I've noticed that some aerial mounts like the Elloran Courser have no idle animations when stopped, either on ground or in the air. Could we do something for these poor creatures?

Also please let flying mounts jump in areas where flying isn't allowed. Turkeys can fly and jump, so why couldn't a Pegasus?

[Suggestion] Skins of previously owned familiars

Hello everyone,
I bring forth this suggestion as a passionate familiar collector. I'm sure I belong to a populous category on Riders of Icarus. The game simply seems to cater to us. I'm reaching just now level 27 and already am seeing the end of the Familiar Storage space. I had realized I couldn't just Collect Them All as I thought back when I started the game. So I resorted to keeping just all the Elites, plus the common ones that did not have an elite counterpart (Woodland Joey, for example). Even this way, I am almost out of slots, and I haven't even gotten to grab those in the fourth area yet!

I appreciated the storage expansion, but unless they can eventually give us unlimited slots on the long run, I feel a further step is needed.

I feel that we should be given the ability to save and collect the original appearance of familiar we tamed. Think of for example all the wolves you tame in the forest of Hakanas. Wouldn't it save so many slots if you could just save their appearance and slap them at will in your best wolf familiar? This way, we could just keep one familiar per type and at the same time virtually collect them all.

I realize that the current skins all have stats, so they would probably still be chosen over some stat-less common skins, but at the same time i feel giving all these common appearance attribute bonuses would impact the Ellun shop, and I'm sure the devs don't want that. So yes, it's fine if they are without bonuses (as they currently are, when you select a familiar original skin in the skin tab), collectors won't care! We just want the awareness of having them and the ability to show them off at will.

I for example loved the palfrey look, and I'd love to put it on Black Wind to keep on all the time. What familiar original skin would you use in your top familiar, if you could?

EDIT: Adding in that these skins should probably equippable by rank: Common Familiars could only equip skins of other common Familiars of the same type. Elite could equip skins of other Elites and Common of their type. Lastly Heroic would be able to equip all skins of their familiar type. It would be odd to see a black wolf with Fenris skin.

Then again current skins have no rank restrictions, so maybe not.

All right~ Going to reopen the discussion for these suggestions in a new thread, as indicated by the moderators (sorry about that!I thought bumping would be better than spamming with copies of old threads!). Since there's a lot of them, I'm going to put most of them here rather than make a single thread for each.

Flying Mounts' Victory/[X button] pose
I don't know if this is exactly a bug or intended, but if it's intended, then it's a bummer.
When pressing X button on ground mounts, you get to replicate the same animation familiars do when they level up: rearing, roaring, howling, and so forth.
However when pressing X on flying mounts while on ground, all you get is a "You can't fly here" message. That would be okay, if they had a victory pose while in the air. But pressing X while flying only makes them ascend more. I love Pegasus' level up animation, and I'm pretty sad at the idea of no longer being able to see it once it will reach its maximum level. Please, change the X button for flying mounts so that they do the level up pose like ground mounts do.

I hope this thread doesn't go against the rules too T_T;; I have a lot of ideas and tend to go wild. Sorry beforehand.

Mount Lock Feature!

Ok. So today I accidentally released my Dark Lyrudis why trying to release Event Mount Chanus. I know it gave a pop up notice before releasing, but I like I said, I accidentally released it because I was going quick through my adventure boxes. This situation is very sad. I think the game should have a LOCK MODE feature for your mount protection. What if it was a rare legendary mount? I would have thrown the keyboard into my computer if I have anger issue. xD I am so mad right now, since Dark Lyrudis is my love, I have frozen Lyrude skin for him.. and now he is gone. Yeah, imagine that, he is gone. I am crying...

Please consider this feature for players like me. Make a Lock Mode so your mount:
1. Can't be released
2. Can't be sealed

I would really appreciate it and make another NX purchase in the future. Dev teams please listen to player experience. I am helping improving the game experience.

Ellora's Spire in a local game PLEASE!!

Hi all, i have a HUGE disadvantage to compete with others players in ellora's spire because i am play with +400ms delay, this is unfair.
Since the spire is a single play mode, it´s a good idea make players play by hosting themselves like a off line mode and after send the score to the server. Making thoses changes the players will never get disconects and delay from the servers.

Familiar Farm- Corral Your Familiars!

A corral in which you can house your mounts/pets by talking to an NPC. Make it an instance where you can invite friends in to see your collection (simply putting a portal up where the corral opening is and add a 'summon to corral' option in player menu).

Buy more spaces using NX or Elluns (if the game takes pride in 'got to catch em all' mechanics they might want to add spaces for every familiar in game)

Separate zoning ideas:
Corral could become similar to a player owned zoo eventually. each region has a zone and each zone has areas for each grade of familiar. you can add a space for your familiar based on grade using ellun or buy out a region with NX as you fill a space with a familiar it will go to its own habitat zone/area.

spaces can be more expensive then regular storage or base price on the corral grade
Common might be 2 elluns for the first upgrade add 4 spaces
Elite might be 5 elluns for first upgrade add 3 spaces
heroic might be 10 elluns for first upgrade add 2 spaces
Legendary might be 20 elluns for the first upgrade add 1 spaces

if a regional expansion pack is applied the ellun bought space will be made available
you can sell back NX/ellun bought spaces for corral points at corral NPC.

corral points might eventually be used for;
-pet trick tomes
-corralled familiar costumes(allowing you to personalize your corralled familiar not usable outside of corral items can be used by all corralled creatures of item grade/region of origin/type of familiar)
-familiar skins(usable only by non corralled familiars)
-claws/saddles/gems (usable only by non corralled familiars)

***No Experience Gained While Familiars Are In The Corral This Would Derail The Need For People To Be In Game And Derail The Need For Fostering***
Additional limitations might include;
-only allow a familiar in if you don't have that familiar in corral already
-Display Only setting where you cant use the familiar anymore only release the familiar back into the wild if you place it in corral
-Cost in gold to corral a familiar may be expensive depending on the grade and region of origin

Some money making options might include
-Corral Expansion Packs Per Region For NX (its a vanity item so it doesn't effect the play value)(price varies according to level of region Adds spaces that can only be used by familiar in that region)
-Redeem Corralled Familiar Ticket For NX and Elluns (price varies according to familiar grade)

Monthly Rewards might include;
4 writs for a Corral Expansion Mystery Box in which you
--Are likely to get a Common or Elite corral upgrade voucher/low level regional expansion pack
--Might get lucky with a heroic or Legendary corral upgrade voucher/Decent level regional expansion pack
-- Are extremely lucky and get a high level region corral expansion pack .0000001% chance xD
Corralled Familiar Lucky Box (does not get added to beastiary can not be used unless redeemed via [Corralled Familiar Redemption Ticket] redeemed mounts get added to beastiary pets do not)

Entertainment additions might be
-[Pet Trick Tomes] drops in various regions according to grade (Common tricks, Elite trick, Heroic tricks, Legendary tricks)
-Master the tricks with your corralled familiars by interacting with familiar daily (familiar energy costs vary based on the trick difficulty)
-Interactive trick mastery via Tome Mini Game
-Familiar Talent Showdown (earn corral points by competing against other players across the NA or EU servers)

Familiar Combat/Races
-play as a corralled familiar in a beast combat pvp or Race riding your corralled familiar against 10 other competitors
- like all things divide into regions/grades
- Common/Elite/Heroic/Legendary race in such and such region: Grade obviously adds to competition difficulty, region adds to course difficulty.
- Common/Elite/Heroic/Legendary combat in such and such region: Grade obviously adds to competition difficulty, region adds to the arena obstacles/power-ups.

the corral plain housing a limited amount of familiars is fine add onto as time passes and eventually youll have one godly addition to this already marvellous game (I'm getting ahead of myself)

Starting basic

-7 'any grade' slots to start

-Display Only Upon Corral

-each familiar should give status 'Name: --- LVL -- Tamed --/--/----'

-right click to inspect stats and skills

-Allow familiars to be corralled at any level but corral is permanent until familiar is released or redeemed back using [Corral Redemption Voucher]

-no experience gained while corralled EVER (Recommend only corralling max level familiars)

-cost to corral in gold according to grade and region obtained

-take corralled familiar out once a week for 3 hours(timer acts like a temporary familiar only the familiar returns to corral instead of being permanently deleted) no experience gain. no level up. no sealing. no changing mount-pet/pet-mount. no item equipping. no skin change. cannot release (outside of corral NPC releasing option).

-corralled pets (heroic) gain temporary auto-loot function for 30 minutes when out with player auto-loot function activates on players command once a week. auto-loot setting adjustments apply to this function(legendary) get 1 hour auto loot function when out with player activated on players command once a week.
***cool down separate for each pet do not determine the cool down based on by grade corral wide... the corralled familiar timer will stop players from abusing this function***
-All corralled familiars gain semi-permanent items similar but slightly weaker then the same grade mount equipment. these items are bound to the familiar until familiar is released or redeemed (upon which the corral items are destroyed and the item slots are open for player to equip whatever they own)

-name adjustment to familiars placed in corral should add (Corral) Before the name similar to an Event familiar

-(Corral)pets act as a secondary pet for as long as the timer holds up riding mounts run along side regular pets

-(corral) familiars do not lose energy rather they run on timer

-Corralled Familiars do not take up space in familiar storage when out they act as a buff to summon or dismiss corralled familiar press Alt+U

-Corralled familiar passive buffs stay active for the 3 hours regardless of the familiars activity (summoned/dismissed)

***can only have one corralled familiar out at a time when the corralled familiar is taken out by the player the timer must run out before a new corralled familiar can be brought out***

later you can begin adding on ... I'm insane I know my ideas are above and beyond the capabilities of your team but maybe eventually you will get there

as you begin to allow slots to be bought you limit the amount of corralled pets a player can take out per week

Corral Energy Introduction:
level 10 Corral Energy refills 150/150 (6 common or 2 elite per week)
level 20 Corral Energy refills 300/300 (12 commons or 4 elites per week (level 20s wont get heroics unless they buy them or get a lucky box))
level 30 Corral Energy refills 600/600 (8 elites or 4 heroics per week(commons are useless at this level))
level 40 Corral Energy refills 1200/1200 (16 elites or 8 heroics or 4 legendary per week)
level 50 Corral Energy refills 2400/2400 (16 heroic or 8 legendary max per week )

cost of energy to use a corralled familiar for 3 hours
Common use 25 points
Elites use 75 points
Heroic use 150 points
Legendary use 300 points

I'm sorry developers for putting this idea out there. I know it will take years to create a functional instance at this proportion but this will draw a lot more players in as most of us have the need to collect everything we see! xD you could become bigger than pokemon!

I was going through my alt characters yesterday getting ready for the update next week, seeing what i needed to do.
I was checking my wiz and noticed all her gear needed to be updated since i really hadn't done a thing with her since just after the Rift was released.
i decided to start to finish leveling her up by beginning the Cloying Wastes when i saw that her gear was all supreme tempered to 11.

Knowing i had just finished my sin and rangers upgraded gear to level 10 i have a question.
When did the safe level for not using elluns, safeguarding it, change from 11 to 10?
i would never have risked or wasted the amount of elluns i would have needed so i know it was changed after the rift was released. i don't waste them for only heroic gear.
Checking on my main i saw that the one piece of ruinous weapon i had, a crossbow, was too at 11.
i recently got a Karasha crossbow and upgraded to it. the Karasha was only level 10.
Anybody out there remember when this changed? or did they slip in something we all failed to noticed recently costly us more in time and elluns to get things upgraded.
this isn't a complaint but i just noticed it. Guess it's time to get my head where it needs to be. :D

New revival scrolls suggestion.

As the game develops further I foresee the rise of bosses that will kill you in a few hits we need more items to keep up with the Game
for dungeons especially high level ones running all the way from the beginning might be a pain. my suggestion is simple...

make a cheap revival scroll buyable with gold
upon revival scroll use;
-the party member/ally will have 50% health
-be suffering from dire wound
-cool down 60 minutes
-can be used in or out of combat
-tradeable

price it similar to dire wound cures

make this cheap scroll usable up to a curtain level
level 55 can revive everyone with their scrolls
level 10 can only revive anyone under level 10

no matter the scroll used the results are the same 50% of max health and suffering from dire wound.
Scrolls can not be used on self

similar items might be;
Blessed Death Insurance Scroll(NX/Elluns)
-usable once every 2 hours
-effect immediate when players health drops below 5%(combat continues no loss in progress)
-replenishes 100% max health
-cures any active Dire Wound debuffs
-Insurance lasts 30 minutes or until effect is used
-must be applied outside of battle
-Self only
-Tradeable
Cannot use in Ellora's Spire

Death Insurance Scroll (gold)(price similar to dire wound cures usable up to curtain level)
-usable once every 2 hour
-effect immediate when players health drops below 5%(combat continues no loss in progress)
-replenishes 50% health
-suffer from dire wound

Auto-Attack, The Silent Killer (Of Yourself)

Please make it so auto attack doesn't stop you from using any other ability for 3 seconds. Or give us an option to disable it completely. It doesn't add DPS to any rotation because it's completely unpredictable. All it does is make it impossible to cast anything else for 3 seconds, and it appears to randomly occur. I almost killed the 10f gatekeeper in the spire for the first time today, only to be killed because auto-attacking wouldn't let me backflip. Actually almost all my deaths are due to either the controls being completely unresponsive (I spam the living piss out of S, and I don't back flip until after 1-2 seconds of doing this), or a random auto-attack stops me from doing anything for 3 seconds. It's a completely redundant thing, considering this game is all based on skill rotations and reactive ability. Having something that undermines those 2 things so massively is counter productive.

I think it would work better if done like other games. When you go to the dungeon you have to choose which one you want and the level of the dungeon. When you port in, you automatically are put into a party that wants the same lvl you do. That would make party formation easier, and people like easy. :)

Revamp Re-Roll system [Suggestion]

Even if this topic has been already discussed many times I'd like to suggest my own view of the Re-roll system, because we clearly see how poorly designed it is right now. Nobody likes it and thos which tried abbandoned it after few tries 'cause it costed lot more than buying a perfect stat item since results are random.

How it works now:
- Costs for HC/Leg gear or weapon: 34 elluns + 70g + 1 Hc/Leg Armor or Weapon Refining Stone
- Results: all and nothing, you can spend only gold by rerolling without locking anything, but the stone get burned and the result it's insanely random

As first we notice how the cost it's the same if you reroll heroic or legendary gear, and this is the first thing that doesn't make any sense. Even if I can easily obtain heroic refining stones the cost block everyone to even give it a try.
An heroic piece of gear nowdays with the Karasha out, it's around 50-80g for best or nearly perfect pieces, but if i want to reroll them the final cost could go very high and too close to the price of a karasha.
Re-rolling karasha which already isn't cheap (pretty normal ofc) would cost so much that ppl prefer to buy directly perfect or almost perfect gear without even try the re-roll and save the money for better seals which can compensate the lack of stats.

Basically, a part those with very huge amount of golds the rest of the players don't use it and many still prefer to get karasha as it is and just fill it with seals.
Personally I consider this system a big failure under many aspects.

Let's see now how it could be implemented:
Since now we noticed how cheap became the lower level gems (Lv.1, Lv.2) and in certain cases also Lv.3, so why don't we use it for a better re-roll system? :)
A part the fact that those gems became cheap the main problem is that some of them are pretty useless and barely used, so we can combine various gems in order to obtain certain kind of results during the refining.

Heroic Gear Requirements:
  • Being enchanted till +12
HC Gear Costs:
  • 1 Heroic Armor/Weapon Refining Stone
  • 1g*(Item Level Requirement/2) for stat re-roll
  • 5 Elluns for locking a stat
  • 3* various kind of Lv1+ gems

Legendary Gear Requirements:
  • Being enchanted till +15
Legendary Gear Costs:
  • 1 Legendary Armor/Weapon Refining Stone
  • 5g*(Item Level Requirement/2) for stat re-roll
  • 3 Elluns*(Item Level Requirement/2) for locking a stat
  • 3* various kind of Lv3+ gems

Gem System:
This System will give the exact stat you need on a piece of gear instead to leave it to the luck. But ofc as better is the item as more gems and higher lv. will be required in order to obtain a good result.
* * Stats: * *
  • Str/P.Attack: Ruby (P.Attack)
  • Int/M.Attack: Ruby (M.Attack)
  • Dex: Peridot (P.Attack) + Diamond (Health)
  • Will: Peridot (M.Attack) + Diamond (Health)
  • HP / Con: Diamond (Health) *Random result, could be Hp or con if the item can have them*
  • Magic Crit Damage: Peridot (M.Crit.Dmg)
  • Magic Crit%: Peridot (M.Crit.Dmg) + Ruby (M.Attack)
  • Physical Crit Damage: Peridot (P.Crit.Dmg)
  • Physical Crit%: Peridot (P.Crit.Dmg) + Ruby (P.Attack)
  • Cooldown: P.Defense + M.Defense
  • Cast Time: M.Defense + M.Crit Damage
I don't even remember some of the gems names since I trash them without paying much attention at their names. I'll add the names later.. :)
The level of the gems will determine how strong the roll on the stat will be high.

Re-Roll System
Since we clarified what is needed let's see how to apply everything to the new system!

Heroic Tyrant's Devout Pauldrons:
Str 105
Str 98
Int 94 (defined)

First Re-Roll:
At this point we need to select which stat we are going to re-roll, the other one will be automatically locked by the new system since we will not be able to re-roll both of them at the same time.
Assuming that we are going to reroll Str 105, near that stat we'll see 3 empty slots in which we are going to put the gems. Since we are using heroic gear we need gems from Lv.1 till Lv.2. All the gems must be of the same grade.
Let's suppose we need Cooldown, we put 2*P.Defense (Lv.2) + 1*M.Defense (Lv.2).

Before pressing "Refining", the system will show us the preview of the new item with the new stats (a confirm is needed to avoid mistakes):
Cooldown: 7-8% (if we'd used Lv.1 gems the result could be 5-6%)
Str: 98
Int: 94

Once we confirm we'll get an 8% CDR / Str 98 / Int 94 T.Devout Pauldrons.
Second Re-Roll:
This time we select Str 98 and the system will lock Cooldown;
Once again we see 3 empty slots near Str 98, we'll apply the same gems since we are going to max those pauldrons with Cooldown, so: 2*P.Defense(Lv.2) + 1*M.Defense(Lv.2);

Again, a preview will show us the stats of this refining:
Cooldown: 8% (previously rerolled on the first try)
Cooldown: 7-8% (this attempt)
Int: 94 (defined)

We press confirm and we finally have done!
CDR: 8%
CDR: 7%
Int: 94

Total Cost: 50g + 10 Elluns + 2* Heroic Armor Refining Stones + 4*Lv.2 P.Defense Gems + 2*Lv.2 M.Defense Gems

How much would cost to re-roll a Karasha?
Total Cost: 200g + 120 Elluns + 2* Legendary Armor Refining Stones + 4*Lv.4 P.Defense Gems + 2*Lv.4 M.Defense Gems


Even if the final cost seem a bit high, you are not having any kind of luck or unluck factor in the middle. But thinking for a whole PERFECT SET the final cost doesn't look so high:
5 Pieces * 200g = 1000g | Do you think that you are going to spend less for having 2*Re-rolls for the stats desired in your gear right now? I Doubt!
5 Pieces * 120 Elluns = 600 Elluns | They could seem a lot but since the item isn't bound you can re-roll with an alt to share the cost. BUT you get lot of elluns from the Spire!
5 Pieces * 2 Legendary Refining Stones = 10 L.Ref.Stones | This aspect didn't changed, so you'll need from 4000/5000g worth Ref.Stones in any case!
5 Pieces * 6 Gems = 30 Lv.3/4 Gems | This one could be costly but hell, the game need to last a bit so turning everything perfect should keep ppl busy for awhile.

Cosmetic Items Full Body Aura

Well you gave us Heart Aura in Valentines Day.

My suggestion is. what about a full body aura that covers our skin or armor in cosmetic slot. the full body aura can be any colour we like. u can add some electricity particles and staff. you can take a look on dragonball and any anime that has that kind of auras to take an idia. here is an example pictures

if you ever want to make a cosmetic full body aura please im begging you make it as good looking as possible. ( wizzards have some kind of aura ability >_>).

(i want one to look good with the frost dragon rider outfit ;) :D ).

How many times do I have to use refining weapon and armor refining to reach the status I want x50 x100??.I want just 1 strenght. Is that only meant to lose elluns and golds?

I think it would be easier to level crafting skills up if there was place on each map to train for a higher grade crafting. It is inconvenient to have to go back to Hakanas Crossing to train in crafting, not to mention the extra cost to use the shrines.
Just a suggestion.

Floor 22, the pirate isn't coded properly, can this be fixed please, the AOE gets stuck on the waterfall feature of the floor
if the water is meant for cosmetic purposes to define its a water floor then it shouldn't conflict with player interaction, you cant even cast an Area of Effect spell on this certain floor
because when you go to cast it, the casting circle gets stuck on the walls and such, its silly, you cant even cast the aoe where you are standing, the circle disappears and bugs into walls an gets stuck even if you move your mouse around.

you cant even use the "move pet to destination" on that floor, its so unnecessary and frustrating
