Guild Recruitment Board Ingame

Just an idea to have a guild recruitment board within the game to make it easy to recruit members. So guilds can leave a post on the board to say who they are recruiting or show how many spots they have to recruit for. Could also make it so that players can apply to guilds through the guild board.

I think it would be cool to turn in the old coins from the badlands to stygaea coins, like every 20 or so is 1 or some conversion like that :)

Practice Dummies

Practice Dummies, Target Dummies. Call them what you will but I feel there would be a need for such to test out new skills and skill rotations without having to travel out into a high level area chasing after live targets.

There's a Huge amount of space just unused within the city, the guild area, even the back of the palace under the Whale.

So what do you guys think. Potential Addition with benefits or not?

Edit: Don't know what happened to the title but fixed now I hope.

Not sure if this has been suggested before but...

It would be nice if there was an option to favorite/star certain things in the game. (Titles, Familiars, Recipes) Rather than scrolling through your dozens upon dozens of options you could just click on the starred/favorite selection and see all of the ones you have selected to pop up. This would especially be useful as the game grows and more things are added.

Keep or Change Aethorus Mount's Glow

UPDATE:
THANK YOU NEXON! The edited Aethorus mount is now much more pleasing to the eye, and you can see the mount under the glow now! The soft fade is lovely, and with the Luminous Tolus skin, it has become one of my all time favorite mounts - so much so, that I've purchased it on my alt as well! <3

The picture Nexon provided showed a cool-colored dragon with some special effects.
When you buy the mount, you get a glowy dragon that shows what the picture did only for a split second at a time.
Personally, I like how the picture looked, and I did not expect to get what I did. It seems others have similar opinions, and Icarus is willing to listen to them.

So, what do you prefer? Keep the mount as it is? Remove the glow? Change it?

Add NPC from Lair of Ienos in Crossserver Lobby

Its so nice to see the lair of ienos portal in the lvl 35-40 dungeon lobby BUT you still have to port to the normal lair of ienos because of the Daily Quest from the NPC "Tolbern" ...you can use the crosserver lobby to go cavern of the veil or frost keep and then you still have to port to the normal lair of ienos to deliver the quest.

It would be rly nice if this NPC would be added in the crosserver dungeon aswell so you dont have to port there and there and there just to finish the daily quest ;)

Time for a big change - manastone

Last time discussions about changing the number of channels inspired me to write this new suggestion.
Many people complain about pvp system in this game. In my opinion the manastone battles aren't so bad but they need serious tweaking.
1. First of all - set a few channels in exarahn badlands, not just one. The reason is to make 3 manastones happening at the same time. You have to sign in to one of the 3 channels in time from 1 hour to 5 min before the manastone launch. After you sign in, you can change your mind and sign out or change channel, unless it's 5 minutes to go. Once you sign in, you can normally get in and out of badlands, but from 5 minutes to launch until the end of manastone you can only enter the channel you are signed in. In this time period you can't change channels if you're in badlands, but you can normally quit the map.
3 separate manastones happening at once will make pvp more enjoyable due to less lags (less people on one channel) and more competition (usually there's one guild that rules manastones, now this guild can rule only on one channel). But if this is going to be successfully implemented you need to separate single players from guilds. Single player (possibly a militia member) is responsible for himself and he signs in wherever he wants. Guilds and alliances are groups of cooperating players, so in this case the signing in is in the hands of guild / alliance leader. He signs in entire guild / alliance to one channel, so they can fight together against other guilds / alliances. Of course if the guild / alliance is signed in, it's not obligatory to take part in manastone for all it's members.
2. Second thing: manastones less frequently, but more prestigious. Have you ever watched KSW? It's a prestigious fighting event in rules of MMA happening about 2 or 3 times a year in Poland. There are fighters from around the world to compete and become famous. It's prestige is partially because IT DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY WEEK / MONTH. It happens only 2-3 times a year so people wait for it with hype. The same thing should be with manastones. Currently the opinion about manastones from average player (velzeroth server) is like that "huge lag fest and waste of time happening twice a week. The same winners everytime, no rewarding gameplay experience and nonsense rewards for actually doing anything to stop the winners... For a minute or two". How to change it? Make manastones once a week or once every two weeks so that interested people will be hyped for it.
3. More rewarding for winners. Well, if you're going to listen and make them once a week, then make them more rewarding.
a) manastone carrier - it's a huge personal achievement to actually do this. Person who did that should receive some good stuff, like random ellun package (open to get from 5-20), random gem lucky box (open to get bracelet gems from II to IV lvl), exarahn coins and new thing - manastone writs. You should be able to exchange them for things like legendary seal stones, legendary extractors, full growth potions, high lvl tempering stones (130+), heroic marks (not random boxes, just simply marks, sometimes player wants a choice not an rng). You should remove alliance stingray from rewards, or make him permanent at the cost of few manastone writs, because temporary mounts suck, especially if they are good. Also the manastone weapon set should be from writs so that the player who wins manastone will have motivation to gather the writs for big selection of rewards.
b) guilds / alliances - make additional buffs for guilds / alliances who manage to win the manastone. The buffs may last until the next manastone, so that they'll have to fight for them again. Let's take a look about the details of buffs you should implement:
+1% overall attack
+1% overall defence
+1% overall critical rate
+50 overall critical damage
+1% health
+1% mana
+1% taming chance
+1% triumphant crafting chance
+1% tempering chance
+1% drop rate
+5 all stats
+1% move speed
-1% cast time
-1% cooldown
+3% familiar exp
+3% guild exp
+3% player exp
So in short terms, slightly buffs that improve all aspects of the game. I'm not saying that this isn't OP, but that's the purpose. To encourage people to pvp they must see "oh gosh, such OP buff for manastone. Guys, we need this. Grab your weapons and move your butts, we must win the manastone!".
c) militia - if you're guildless but you belong to militia and take part in a manastone won by militia, you also get buffs (but not that powerful due to militia having already OP buffs in pvp and there's more militia than any alliance can hold in slots). Militia buffs for manastone should be as follows:
+1% overall attack
+1% overall defence
+1% health
+1% taming chance
+1% tempering chance
+1% drop rate
+1% triumphant crafting chance
+3% familiar exp
+3% character exp
This will encourage people to form more guilds and alliances, so they'll be able to get the guild / alliance buff

Really nexon
even tho wizard is the crappiest class in pvp under level 2 wolf from bakaar forest, you add stagger to frozen blessing

what is wrong with you, is there something wrong with developers brain?
what you just did in that update debuffed wizard even more as if wizard wasnt the most debuffed class there was, now even more....

i cant even write this, its unbelievable stupid, whoever is the developer responsible for this change, please quit your job, and ""i don't mean this in any hate way"", i mean this in what is wrong with you way. what is going on inside your head.

NERFING WIZARD EVEN AFTER ITS THE MOST NERFED CLASS - USE YOUR HEAD!
and to add, the shield doesn't even insta cast when it says instacast, has to do animation before casting unlike mana shield, if knocked down during this, the skill uses anyway but the effect doesnt take effect, more idiocracy on nexon part.

if you want to nerf wizard even more, NERF EVERY CLASS, OH MY GOD i feel like shooting myself because of too much stupiudity >,<

Vambrace size fix

I keep seing a clipping issue with my ranger´s vambrace. Whenrever he runs or uses his bow the vambrace clips through the arm. Anyone noticed?

Why is there cool-down on this even tho daily entry is 1/1?
i believe this cool down should be removed, all it is is a hassle, nothing more, its not like one can enter a second time.
or am i missing something?


The Spire Ladder with Defined Gear for Everyone?

I very like this new dungeon, 'cause I think that can help players to learn a bit their class and maybe test their builds. But said so, even if I'm in good position in my server I wish we all of us had the same chances to reach the top.
Long time ago I played a mmo which had for PvP and competitive matchs a standard gear. You could unlock socket fillers by progressing in the ladder and such, but in this way everyone had to face the reality: if you have skill, no matter which equip you have, if you are good you'll be at the top.

Can't we have such a default gear for entering The Spire? I mean, I perfectly knew who in the server had the best chances to get on top and once the ladder showed names, the names of the first 3 were exactly those which have the best gear (full karasha +20 re-rolled +3sockets filled with legendary +5).
Basically, efforts should be rewarded I know, but do we really know if they deserved to be at top? Wouldn't better to give everyone the same chance to get these rewards? I mean, those players are very rich, they spend elluns on elluns every single day, so yeah they also buy them maybe from AH, but more from packages and such. Since you can buy huge Mana/Health potions at 9g+, how many potions richest players can buy to reach 2-3-5 floors more than those which maybe can't afford such prices every day in the ladder?

So the idea is:
- Default Gear for everyone 2 or 3 sockets, it's your choice.
- Enchants can be bought with marks dropped from the mini bosses (and cannot be used on normal gear);
- Default potions are given when starting, 1x Floor with 40mins duration;
- More Potions can be bought with coins/marks dropped in the dungeon;
- Full healing pots from premium should be disabled;

In this way we start all of us from the same point and progress can differs a bit.
'cause if with my good but old lvl 40 gear I've reached the top 10, how far I could go with full karasha? I could reach the top? So isn't my skill that grants me a good position but the gear I'm wearing?
If we are going to make a competition, let's do it with everybody at the same level. ;)

Training ground

Short introduction - it's an idea of your own training ground in your familiar farm (possibly requires expansion)
1. Simple dps test mode - training dummy. Doesn't attack and is immortal due to lot of hp and constant full hp regeneration each sec.
2. Defensive Mode - here you are the prey. You can select an opponent from the legendary dungeons and test it's damage against you with ability to select the difficulty of dung (example you choose llc 5 archer to check if you get one shotted and try kiting / dashing / blocking attacks.
3. Support Mode - you have an ally who takes aggro of an enemy but it's not immortal. Your job is to keep him alive / test your party buffs (good for priest to train healing / ressing, wiz for dark affiction healing / mana regen and light blast cast time buff, tank for his buffs / debuffing enemy def, ranger for debuffing / healing / dps buffing by raven flight, zerk for his full charged skills buffs to party)
That's what I expect from a good training ground.

I have been playing 2 weeks (taking a break from another game)! So far I have been enjoying ! I do however find some very redundant things going on as far as how the game is done.
1. I have one account 3 characters things should be sharable between them maybe not everything such as soul /bound marks and armors, weapons but a shared storage to save gold and crafting materials in.
2. Friends lists One account one list for a characters on that account there is no reason to have to add myself to a friends list.
3. Guilds : As stated one account 3 characters. I have created a guild there is no reason why I see to have to friend myself and then add myself to a guild as I the account have created the guild. The only thing I see this doing is causing fluff to the Guild making it look like there are more in it then are really there.
4. Key binds one account once these are set it should be account wide .
Everything that is mentioned I am sure would clear up the game in whole because that is less memory that the server has to maintain

The Idol class

A few months ago, Korea's Icarus Online introduced a terrible abomination of a class in May that completely conflicts with the games theme and tries to clone the baiting tactics of other terrible Korean MMO's. Essentially this class is a little girl carrying a teddy bear that completely conflicts with the rest of this games design and has no place in any self-respecting MMO on the western market.

Quite frankly I think an MMO screams low quality when the player base and the aesthetic gets flooded with lolis and Riders of Icarus doesn't need this low quality trash. I want to start this discussion now and illustrate my disdain for this idea before we have to have a similar discussion in a few months down the line when Nexon inevitably tries to hamfist this class into the game for some extra cash. Leave it in Icarus Online. Please don't besmirch ROI's reputation in the west by adding this.

( Will Continuously Be updated ) - From the eyes of a wizard.

- Floor 17 - Jeranin : Every Attack and i mean every attack is a stagger attack, as a mage you need time to cast for every skill there is that does decent damage, not like other classes so how does nexon suppose a mage casts spells while getting staggered every hit + the removal of the frozen shield blessing stagger protection - Nexon doesn't make sense
- Floor 18 - Chef : has a 1.5 second healing ability, called blood drain, if you're not out of the way within that certain time period he heals, so it takes quite a bit of skill to get past this while casting since casting requires more animation time then Nexon states, 1 second spells take around 2-3 seconds to cast, so if you're caught in this while casting spells you are basically screwed, you could try escape key and cancel animation but once its past a certain part of the casting, there is no way to cancel animation - Nexon doesn't make sense
- Floor 19 - Butler : Has a certain similar healing factor as Chef from floor 18 but 1000 times worse - Ok so the problem with the Butler is the wizard skill "light explosion" is useless because butler heals off your light explosion, here nexon is stating that light explosion is physical therefore, light explosion should be able to do damage and not just be used for a decoy, you cant heal off a decoy a decoy is a decoy not a clone, therefore either fix the healing from the decoy or add damage to the decoy. - Nexon doesn't make sense
- Blink ( Wizard Skill ) - we all know blink allows a wizard to teleport, but this doesn't help in this case, Nexon needs to integrate a 0.5% resist on Wizard teleport similar to what ranger and assassin has this is because we all know wizard takes time to cast a skill, lets use the 1.5 chef skill for example, by the time wizard casts the skill and teleports back, the skill gets you anyway, at first this was believes to be lag but it turns out its the game mechanic, happens with everything like Emberstone Golem is another example, you teleport and they hit you across the room, same rules apply with chef/butler, you teleport, heals from you across the room. Same rules apply for Assasin in PvP - they hit thin air even if you teleport they damage thin air and u die - Mechanic needs to be looked at in this matter. - Nexon doesn't make sense
- Floor 19 : Butler/Carleon : - Those familiar with Floor 19 of Ellora's Spire Tower know the fight with butler and how he summons Carleon as mobs, he also uses a sacrifice skill to sacrifice them and heal off them, when you kill these summons, butler is still able to heal off them? Really nexon i see no game testing has been done here, he shouldnt be able to heal off something thats dead, it defeats the purpose. - Nexon doesn't make sense
Light Explosion Skill : wit the right build and cool down one can reduce light explosion to around 1.7 seconds to cast, but if you're getting attacked by several/numerous enemies, this isn't the case because every attack by an enemy reduces cast time for some reason so in reality, 1.7 seconds cast time takes 5-8 seconds, cause that makes sense, who thinks of these ideas seriously, lets take wizard, remove its stagger shield and hit it with all these lets call them "debuffs" because screw wizard. - Nexon doesn't make sense
Floor 13 : Deathlord Lyga : Has a knockdown skill that knocks you down Twice, if you use your instant escape move, it knock's you down again rendering you immobile and making you lose time for no apparent reason??

Auto-Attack, The Silent Killer (Of Yourself)

Please make it so auto attack doesn't stop you from using any other ability for 3 seconds. Or give us an option to disable it completely. It doesn't add DPS to any rotation because it's completely unpredictable. All it does is make it impossible to cast anything else for 3 seconds, and it appears to randomly occur. I almost killed the 10f gatekeeper in the spire for the first time today, only to be killed because auto-attacking wouldn't let me backflip. Actually almost all my deaths are due to either the controls being completely unresponsive (I spam the living piss out of S, and I don't back flip until after 1-2 seconds of doing this), or a random auto-attack stops me from doing anything for 3 seconds. It's a completely redundant thing, considering this game is all based on skill rotations and reactive ability. Having something that undermines those 2 things so massively is counter productive.

Tired of doing World Bosses with no drops.

I'm really sick and tired of this game that gives you no rewards for killing a boss. My friend and I just did 3 Faudrus and 3 Ikeria from the start of the boss and got absolutly no drop at all. We were partied and there were about 10 people at the fights. What is the point of doing these bosses when major guilds suck up all the damage, get all the drops, and the people that are trying to play don't get anything. I paid for a 6 month premium package for this game and I am about ready to ask for my money back. There is no sense in playing a game where only certain groups of people get all the loot and the rest of us can just basically go kiss off. This needs to change but I know it won't.
